apCampaign Getting Started

Getting started with apCampaign

Prepare an audience, configure delivery, and verify a small test campaign before scheduling a live send.

Install and recover your download

  1. Back up the site and test on a staging copy first.
  2. Download the current ZIP from your purchase confirmation or My Account.
  3. Open WordPress → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. Upload the ZIP, install, and activate it.
  4. Open the product’s License screen and activate the purchased key for the retail update and support service.

Prepare your first campaign

  1. Open apCampaign and review its overview and readiness information.
  2. Configure the intended mail route and sender identity. Provider verification, sending limits, domain authentication, and provider charges are separate from installing the plugin.
  3. Use a small audience of addresses you control for the first test. Import only contacts with appropriate consent.
  4. Open Campaign Studio, create a draft, and set the sender, subject, message, and audience.
  5. Check personalization, links, mobile layout, unsubscribe behavior, and preflight findings. Send a test to addresses you control.
  6. Verify the actual inbox delivery and links before enabling scheduling for a wider audience.

Suppression and scheduling

Verify that an unsubscribed or suppressed address cannot be included in the next campaign. When using a delivery provider, test how bounces and complaints reach your suppression workflow. Scheduling requires a functioning WordPress cron or an intentionally configured host scheduler; a saved schedule is not proof of a delivered message.

Acceptance check

  • Sender identity is verified by the delivery route.
  • Test messages arrive with correct formatting and working links.
  • Unsubscribe and suppression are effective on a second test send.
  • Scheduled test delivery occurs at the expected time, with the timezone recorded.

Updates, rollback, and support

Take a fresh backup before updating and verify the same workflow on staging. If an update causes a problem, restore your previous verified plugin package and database backup as appropriate. Do not uninstall a plugin merely to troubleshoot it; data retention differs by product.

For help, email [email protected] with the product/version, WordPress/PHP versions, site URL, exact steps, error message, and last four license-key characters. Remove credentials and personal data from logs. Never send passwords, API keys, complete license keys, card numbers, or card security codes.
